Porth players celebrate winning the South Wales Amteur League.

AFC Porth 1st team play in Division Three of the MacWhirter Welsh League.

After relegation from the Welsh League at the end 0f the 2006-7 season, Porth bounced back at the first attempt by winning the South Wales Amateur League, following an unbeaten league season..

Paul Evans is the first team manager with Robert Isles and Robert Lewis assisting.

Evo as he is affectionately known, has brought in a couple players who were with him at Merthyr, but the majority of his squad either come through the youth ranks or have been with the club for a number of seasons.

Chairman Neil Dowler who has been with the club in one capacity or another for 18 years, is the driving force behind the push to return to the Welsh League, Cliff Cory is the man keeping an eye on the finances, and other committee members are Paul Nagi, Nigel Thomas, Rob Lewis, Gavin Fackrell, Keith Burge and Eric Thomas.

They are all working very hard  so that we can continue to give every player, whether it be senior or youth, the highest possible standard of football.
